Agenda 01/22/2019 Item #16E201/22/2019 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve the addition of three (3) classifications, the modification of one classification, the deletion of one classification and one reclassification to the 2019 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan made between October 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018. OBJECTIVE: To maintain a current and flexible pay plan that best meets the needs of the County. CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year - in January, in April and in July. The modification to the County’s 2019 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan for the first quarter consists of the addition of three (3) new classifications; the modification of one (1) classification; the deletion of one (1) classification, and the reclassification of one (1) classification. FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. - CMG RECOMMENDATION: To approve the addition of three (3) new classifications, the modification of one (1) classification; the deletion of one (1) classification; and the reclassification of one classification to the 2019 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan.
