EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize the necessary Budget Amendments from Fund (303), Florida
Boating Improvement Reserves, to Parks Boating Improvement Capital, Project #80398 Marina
Fuel Tanks in the amount of $65,000.
OBJECTIVE: Replace the fuel dispensers at the Cocohatchee River Park Marina.
CONSIDERATION: Cocohatchee River Park Marina provides fuel to thousands of boaters each year. It
is the northernmost Collier County marina where fuel is available before you reach the Lee County line.
The fuel dispensers at the Marina are approximately twenty-five (25) years old, failing, and in constant
need of repair. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find replacement parts for these outdated fuel tank
models. Collier County Pollution Control performs monthly inspections on the marina fuel dispensers and
recommends replacement of the Cocohatchee dispensers.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding in the amount of $65,000 is available in Fund (303), Florida Boating
Improvement Reserves.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This Item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
