RESOLUTION NO. 05-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE COLLIER COUNTY BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT WITH RESPECT TO TIlE COLLIER
METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION, AND
AUTHORIZING TIlE CHAIRWOMAN TO EXECUTE TIlE
AGREEMENT.
Whereas, Everglades City is the only incorporated jurisdiction in Collier County that does
not currently have a voting member on the Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO); and
Whereas, the Governor of the State of Florida approved a revised membership plan for the
Metropolitan Planning Organization to include the City of Everglades City on July 27,2004; and
Whereas, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners approved this 2004
Reapportionment Plan on June 8, 2004; and
Whereas, the Florida Department of Transportation has asked that the Board of County
Commissioners, the City of Marco Island, the City of Everglades City and the City of Naples
approve the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, Interlocal Agreement With Respect to
the Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (hereinafter referred to as the "AGREEMENT");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Collier County Board of County
Commissioners that:
I, The Collier County Board of County Commissioners IS authorized to enter into the
AGREEMENT.
2. The Chairperson of the Collier County Board of County Commissioners is authorized to
execute the AGREEMENT.
