DUE TO THE EXISTING ECONOMIC CLIMATE, CONSIDER EITHER TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF SECTION 8 OF THE ORDINANCE FOR A DEFINED PERIOD OF TIME OR CONSIDER PERMANENT REMOVAL OF SECTION 8. OBJECTIVE: To discuss Section 8 of the County's Ethics Ordinance (2004-05), regarding the County's Post-Employmcnt Restrictions. Due to the current economic climate, should the Board consider suspending the ordinance for a period of time, or consider removing Section 8 of the ordinance altogether. CONSIDERA TIONS: To discuss Section 8 of the County's Ethics Ordinance regarding post- employment restrictions. SECTION E]GHT: POST-EMPLOYMENT RESTRICTIONS (a) No county managerial employee shall personally represent another person or entity for compensation before the Board of County Commissioners or any of its diVisions, departments, agencies, or boards for a period of two years following vllcation of office, resignation of employment, or termination of employment, as u.pplicable, except for the purposes or collective bargaining. (b) For a period of two years following vacation of office, resignation of employment, or termination of employment, as applicable, except for the purposes of collective bargaining, no county employee shall personally represent another person or entity for compensation before the Board of County Commissioners or any of its divisions, depllrtments, agencies, or boards on a matter in which he Dr she had material personal involvement during his or her period of county employment.
