RECOMMEND THAT THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE THE
RETURN OF FUNDS FOR THE 911 MICROWAVE CIRCUITS GRANT.I#S-08-07-31
TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA ON BEHALF OF THE COLLIER COUNTY SHERIFF'S
OFFICE.
OBJECTIVE: To return funds to the Florida E911 Board for the 911 Microwave Circuits Grant
#S-08-07-31 for which the Board of County Commissioners holds the funds for the Collier County
Sheriff's Office in the amount of$373,505.01. plus any additional accrued interest.
CONSIDERATION:
The Sheriff's Office requests $373.505.01, plus any additional accrued interest, from the 911 Microwave
Circuits Grant, #S-08-07-31 be returned to the Florida E911 Board, PO Box 7117, Tallahassee, FL
32314. These funds will no longer be able to be utilized for the original intended purpose of the grant in
the time frame of the grant period.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is needed to appropriate a remittance to the Florida E911
Board in the amount of $373,505,01, plus any additional accrued interest, and to reduce the 911
Microwave Circuits Grant to a balance of zero.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT: No recurring costs for subsequent years.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the return of any
remaining balance of the 911 Microwave Circuit Grant to the Florida E911 Board on behalf of the Collier
County Sheriff's Office.
