EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a Resolution formally accepting the vote of the Community
Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board and the Immokalee Master Plan and Visioning
Committee (IMPVC) and permit the sunset of the IMPVC and the automatic repeal of
Ordinance No. 04-62, as amended.
OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners (Board) formally accepts the vote of
the Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board and the ImmokaIee Master Plan and
Visioning Committee (IMPVC) and permits the sunset of the IMPVC and the automatic repeal of
Ordinance No. 04-62, as amended.
CONSIDERATIONS: On September 28,2004, the Board adopted Ordinance No. 04-62, which
re-established the Immokalee Area Master Plan Restudy Committee as the Immokalee Master
Plan and Visioning Committee for the purpose of assisting County staff with the monitoring and
implementation of the Immokalee Area Master Plan and land use regulations that affect various
Immokalee zoning districts.
Section Six of Ordinance No. 04-62, as amended by Ordinance No. 07-69, provides, "The term
of the Committee will expire at the conclusion of its services to staff or upon adoption of the
2007 cycle of the Growth Management Plan amendment for the Immokalee Area Master Plan,
whichever is earlier. The Committee shall thereafter dissolve itself and this Ordinance shall be
automatically repealed. Dissolution and repeal shall be not later than December 3 1,2009."
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
CONSISTENCY WITH GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN: This recommended action will
have no impact on the GMP.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: The proposed Resolution was drafted by the County Attorney
and is legally sufficient for Board action. - JAK
ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATION: At the October 2009 joint meeting, the CRA
Advisory Board and the IMPVC voted to not seek an extension of the December 31, 2009 term
limit, thus providing for the dissolution of the IMPVC and the automatic repeal the Ordinance,
effective December 31,2009.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chairman to sign the proposed Resolution formally
accepting the vote and recommendation of the Immokalee CRA Advisory Board and the IMPVC
and permitting the sunset of the IMPVC and the automatic repeal of Ordinance No. 04-62, as
amended.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
SUNSETTING THE IMMOKALEE MASTER PLAN AND
VISIONING COMMITTEE, AND RECOGNIZING AND
MEMORIALIZING THE AUTOMATIC REPEAL OF
ORDINANCE NO. 04-62, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, on September 28, 2004, the Board of County Commissioners (Board)

Committee and permit the sunsetting of this Committee and the automatic repeal of Ordinance
No. 04-62, as amended.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORlDA, that the Immokalee Master Plan and
Visioning Committee is hereby sunsetted as of December 31, 2009, thus providing for the
automatic repeal of Ordinance No. 04-62, as amended, in its entirety, effective December 31,
2009.
