Appointment of member(s) to the Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Committee
OBJECTIVE: To appoint 2 members to serve 2 year tenns, expiring on December 31,2011, to
the Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Committee has 2
tenns expiring on December 31, 2009. This 5 member committee advises the Board on the
budget and operation of the Isles of Capri Fire Control District. Tenns are 2 years and members
must reside within the boundaries of the Isles of Capri Municipal Fire Services Taxing District.
A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
The terms for Kirk P. Colvin and James J. Gault will expire on December 31, 2009. A press

On December 3, 2009, the Isles of Capri Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend Mr. Kirk Colvin
and Mr. James Gault to be approved as members of the Isles of Capri Fire Control District Advisory Board.
Mr. Kirk Colvin has the most experience on the Advisory Board and has been the Chairman of this Advisory
Board for many years. His areas of expertise include Finance, Technology and Management. He attended
all of the Advisory Board meetings which were held in 2008 and 2009.
Mr. James Gault has now completed his first two years on the Advisory Board. His areas of expertise
include Human Resources, Finance and Management. During his two years as a member, he was unable
to attend three meetings.
