EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint a member to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint a member to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee to fill the
remainder of a vacant term expiring on March 3, 2020.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five-member committee was created on October 21, 1997 by Ordinance No.
97-52 to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of providing
curbing, watering facilities, plantings and maintenance of the median areas as set forth in Ordinance No.
96-84. The committee shall recommend work programs and priorities to the County Manager or his
designee. Members shall be permanent residents within the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the
current membership is included in the backup.
There is one vacancy on this committee. The vacancy was advertised, and the following applications
were received:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its regular meeting on November 13, 2018, the committee
voted unanimously that Mr. Cooper be recommended for appointment to the committee, to fill the
remainder of a vacant term which shall expire on March 3, 2020. A recommendation email is included in
the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
