EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the attached Resolution
authorizing execution of Joint Participation Agreement Contract No. G0V81 Supplement One with
the Florida Department of Transportation for the purchase of a new refueling truck at the
Immokalee Regional Airport. (Fiscal Impact: Increase FDOT Participation $38,782; Decrease
Local Match $42,497).
OBJECTIVE: To accept supplemental grant funding in the amount of $38,782 for the purchase a new
Avgas refueling truck for the Immokalee Regional Airport (IMM).
CONSIDERATIONS: On May 22, 2018, Agenda Item 16G2, the Board of County Commissioners
(Board), sitting as the Collier County Airport Authority (Authority), accepted a Joint Participation
Agreement (JPA), Contract No. G0V81, with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in the
amount of $51,045 for a new refueling truck at IMM. The estimated cost of the fuel truck was $116,000.
The Authority has received a Supplemental JPA from FDOT in the amount of $38,782. This
Supplemental JPA includes a revised project budget of $112,285 based on bids, which is a decrease of
$3,715. The net result is a decrease in the local match of $42,497.

FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment brings the local match requirement to 20% or $22,458 as
anticipated of the total project cost ($112,285). Budget Amendments are necessary to recognize FDOT
grant revenue in project number 33565 in the amount of $38,782 within Airport Grant Fund (498), to
decrease the local match within Airport Grant Match Fund (499) by $42,497 with a reciprocal reduction
of the transfer from Airport Operating Fund 495 supported by the General Fund (001).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a majority vote
for Board action. - JAB
RECOMMENDATION: To approve and authorize its Chairman to execute the attached Resolution
authorizing the execution of the Joint Participation Agreement Contract No. G0V81 Supplement One
with the Florida Department of Transportation to fund a fuel truck for the Immokalee Regional Airport in
the amount of $38,782 and authorize the necessary budget amendments.
