PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, the 6o /den bate Task Force initiated its Community Cleanup
concentrating on the northeast quadrant of Golden 6ate City on
March 6, 2010 with amazing results; and
WHEREAS, over 1000 flyers were distributed to this area /n attempts to assist
residents /n cleaning up trash and debris /n their neighborhood,•
and
WHEREAS, dumpsters were located at the 4400 block of 601den Gate Parkway
(4) and 41st Street 4 18th Avenue SW (1) for trash drop -offs;
and
WHEREAS, residents were also given the option to conveniently place debris at
the roadside for pickup; and
WHEREAS, the event was so successful that three additional dumpsters were
ordered to keep up with the demands; and
WHEREAS, after the completion of the day, 20.43 tons / 40,860 lbs. of
debris was collected, and
WHEREAS, this was the largest cleanup in the history of 661den Gate City;
and
WHEREAS, a special thanks goes to Jeff Letourneau, Robert Capizzi, Reno /d
Paul, Ralph Boso, Joe Mucha, Carmelo Gomez, Jeremy Florin,
Kaydee Tuff, .Tohn Santafem /o, Jodi Walters, and B //l Silvester.
NOW THEREFORE, be It proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that April 13, 2010 be designated as
THE GOLDEN GATE TASK FORCE DAY
and wish continued success for this great benefit to the residents
of 6o /den bate.
