PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, the history of any culture can be defined by the examination of
art progressing through those moments in time observing the
attention and importance o society placed on the cultural feeding
of the minds of children, youth, and adult members of that
society; and,
WHEREAS, to enable this development o community needs that special person
who has a contagious passion for the arts coupled with on ability
to truly encompass diverse populations and with communication
skills that are as much at home with children as with adults; and,
WHEREAS, the community of Marco Island found such a person in Chris Neal
an individual of exceptional talent and energy who has worked
tirelessly for the Marco Art League as its Executive Director and
who has accomplished so much as the public face of the Art
League; and,
WHEREAS, through her vision of the futane and the importance of art in our
lives has managed to bring on expanded tale for children and the
youth of our island community in the Art Leagume and the greater
the chalknge the wider the smile, breaking sawn the stereotype
concepts to open wide the love of art throughout Marco Island;
and,
WHEREAS, we all wish Chris and her husband all life's successes as they move
to Michigan. The Art League will have o void within the fabric of
its orga=anon but the foundations built by Chns in the 6+ years
of tenure will be a lasting legacy of her time on Marco Island.
NOW THEREFORE, be it poclaimed by- Commissiawr Donna Fiala that April
23, 2010 be deslted as
CHRIS HEAL DAY
in recognition of the outstanding contribution she has made to the
Art League and the betterment of Marco Island.
