Attachments (1) RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - 109 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MELISSA G. AHERN TO THE COLLIER COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION. WHEREAS, on May 26, 2009, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 2009 -29, which relocated and readopted the Planning Commission Ordinance in its entirety as a stand -alone ordinance in the Collier County Code of Laws and Ordinances; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2009 -29, as amended, provides that the Planning Commission shall be composed of nine voting members representing the County's Commission Districts as set forth in the Ordinance, plus one non - voting member appointed by the School District; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2009 -29, as amended, also provides that candidates for the Planning Commission must be nominated by the Commissioner of the District in which the candidate resides for both initial and subsequent terms; and WHEREAS, there is currently a vacant, unexpired term for a representative of County Commission District 4; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that MELISSA G. AHERN, representing County Commission District 4, is hereby appointed to the Collier County Planning Commission to fulfill the remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on October 1, 2011.
