EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint a member to the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint one member to the Golden Gate Estates Land Trust Committee, to a four -
year term expiring on October 13, 2022.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five-member committee was created by Ord. No. 87-48, amended by Ord.
No. 87-98 and 94-40 to carry out the requirements, conditions and various provisions of an Agreement
relating to the use of land, or funds derived from the sale of land, conveyed to the County by Avatar
Properties, Inc. (f/d/a GAC Properties, Inc.) Applicants must reside within the subdivision known as
"Golden Gate Estates." Members must reside within one of the 5 phases within the Golden Gate Estates
area. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Three seats on this committee expire on October 13, 2018. The pending vacancies were advertised, and an
application was received from the following:

ATTENDANCE: In the past two years Ms. Kniola has had two absences.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its regular meeting on September 24, 2018, the committee
voted unanimously to recommend that Ms. Kniola be reappointed to her seat for another term. A
recommendation email is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the reappointment.
