WHEREAS, The Naples Paradise Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants
(A6A), established on July 9, 2011, is o chapter of the nationally recognized
professional organization, representing 32 local chapter members, and,
WHEREAS, the A6A is working to advance governmental accountability through C6FM
programs; and,
WHEREAS, the professional designation of Certified Government Financial Manager
(C6FM) promotes quality and ethics in financial management throughout
government, and,
WHEREAS, 46FM certification requires a sound education background, several years of
experience and a solid sense of ethics to serve the public interest in
accordance with the highest ethical principles, and,
WHEREAS, Certified Government Financial Managers ploy an integral role in
demonstrating dependability, initiative and practical stewardship of state and
local resources; and,
WHEREAS, Collier County recognizes the importance of CF6M's efficiency and
effectiveness in government financial management.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that March 2012 be designated as
CERTIFIED GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL MANA6ERS MONTH
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 27th Day of March 2012.
