WHEREAS, IBERIABANK was founded in 1887 in New Iberia, Louisiana, to serve the early Spanish,
French and English settlers who, as pioneers, provided a rich diversity of culture that
continues to be present even today; and
WHEREAS, IBERIABANK is headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana and has grown to 266 offices in 12
states, over 2500 employees and $11.8 billion in assets; and
WHEREAS, IBERIABANK is celebrating its 125th birthday with activities dedicated to thanking its
customers for their support and its employees for delivering unparalleled customer
service; and,
WHEREAS, IBERIABANK displays its commitment to the community through the 'i 61ves Back"
initiative, a monthly community giving program to support local charities and the
community, and,
WHEREAS, the initiative is complementary to the work that IBERIABANK is already engaged in with
well- respected local nonprofit and civic organizations, it furthers the bank's involvement
through employee donated time and talent; and
WHEREAS, this program touches several sectors in the community, inc /siding veterans, children,
elderly and less fortunate, and,
WHEREAS, 'i 6ives Back" began in January with the collection of over 300 used cell phones for the
Shelter for Abused Women and Children and Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc., now
continuing with the collection of new and like -new books for the Collier and Lee County
libraries and plans reach out to a new charity each month.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida,
that IBERIABANK be recognized for its community involvement and the celebration of the
125th birthday.
