WHEREAS, Toastmasters International empowers people to achieve their full potential
and realize their dreams through its member clubs by improving
communication and leadership skills, thus finding the courage to change; and,
WHEREAS, Toastmasters Clubs in Collier County have been serving its citizens for more
than fifty years, and is hereby announcing the newest club to charter, and
WHEREAS, Toastmaster Academy has officially been chartered by Toastmasters
International on January 1, 2012, and
WHEREAS, Toastmaster Academy's mission is to facilitate interactive educational
workshops for and by its members; and
WHEREAS, Toastmaster Academy's purpose is to strengthen the foundation of its
members as pinvficient communicators and effective leaders, and
WHEREAS, Toastmaster Academy's vision is to enable its members to become influential
individuals that shape their surrounding world;
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that February 15, 2012 be designated as Toastmaster
Academy Day, as the official celebration day and in recognition of being
founded for the service to the citizens of Collier County.
