PROCLAAA TION
WHEREAS, Nap /es Equestrian challenge, Inc, is o 501(c)3 non - profit organization with the
mission of improving the lives of children and adults with special needs through
therapeutic riding and other equine - related programs; and
WHEREAS, Nap /es Equestrian Challenge provides therapeutic riding programs that foster
growth and confidence, empowering riders living with cerebral palsy, Down
syndrome, stroke, autism spectrum disorder, amputations, spina bifida, spina/ cord
injuries, multiple sclerosis and o range of emotional learning and developmental
disabilities; and,
WHEREAS, with a dedicated staff, volunteers, and corporate sponsors Nap /es Equestrian
Challenge provides theMPeutie riding programs to over 400 participants per year
regardless of income, and,
WHEREAS, Nap /es Equestrian Challenge has demonstrated leadership in the non - profit
community by engaging other organizations to increase the impact of their mission
through collaborative services and volunteer partnerships, and,
WHEREAS, Nap /es Equestrian Challenge has achieved recognition by industry partners as o
Premier Center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship
International; and,
WHEREAS, Naples Equestrian Challenge has grown through partnerships with the Naples
Children and Edueaftn Foundation as well as the United Way of Collier County.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida that Nap /es Equestrian Challenge be recognized for its impact on the /fives
of Collier County individuals with special needs.
