WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 93-81 established the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to advise the Board of County Commissioners on matters pertaining to the acquisition, development and programs involving County park facilities; and WHEREAS, Ordinance 93-81, as subsequently amended, provides that this Advisory Board shall be composed of seven members consisting of one member from the Immokalee Community Park District and six members from the Naples and Urban Area Community Park District; and WHEREAS, on December 31, 2013, there will be vacancies on this Advisory Board; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board has provided the Board of County Commissioners with its recommendations for appointment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that MCMURDO SMITH, representing the Naples and Urban Area Community Park District, is hereby reappointed to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board to serve a four-year term, said term to expire on December 31, 2017.
