Backup Documents 05/14/2013 Item # 4EPROCLAMATION 4E WHEREAS, Alma Cambridge is one of the founders and organizers of the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church (A.M.E.), which was established in 1959 and has served the Collier County community for almost 54 years; and, WHEREAS, she touched the lives of many students and their families as a teacher and guidance counselor in the Collier County Public School District; and, WHEREAS, she is an active participant in the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, a nonprofit service - oriented sisterhood; and, WHEREAS, her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and willing servant for many community activities has affected change in Collier County, for which she will be honored for on May 26, 2013 by the Women's Day committee of the Bethel A.M. E. Church. NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, that ALMA CAMBRI06E IS RECOGNIZED AS A 2013 WOMAN OF DISTINCTION.
