EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to accept the report of interest for the fiscal year ending September 30,
2010 pursuant to Florida Statute 218,78 and Purchasing Policy XII.E. For the year ended
September 30, 2010 no interest was paid.
OBJECTIVE: Board approval and acceptance of the repoli of interest for the year ending
September 30,2010.
CONSIDERATION: Pursuant to Florida Statute 218.78, Florida Prompt Payment Act, in
December of each year, each local governmental entity shall report to the Board of County
Commissioners the number of interest payments made during the preceding fiscal year and the
total amount of such payments in excess of $250.
Pursuant to Board Purchasing Policy XII.E, the Purchasing Director and the Finance Director
shall jointly submit this reporL
For the fiscal year ending September 30, 2010, there were no interest payments made under
the Prom pi Payment AcL
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
LEGAL CONSiDERATiONS: This Item has been reviewed and approved by the County
Attorney's Office and is legally sufficient for Board action-3RT.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: To accept the report of Prompt Payment Act interest for the fiscal year
ended September 30,2010.
