EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOS.~
OBJECTIVE: For thc Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioncr to attend Illnction/evcnt and approvc paymcnt by the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No, 99-410, thc Board of County
Commissioners has detcrmincd that attcndance at the functions of fratcrnal, business,
environmental, educational, charitablc, social, professional, trade, homcowncrs, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations scrvcs a valid public purpose, provided that said
functions reasonably rclatc to Collier County matters,
COMMISSIONER: Donna Fiala
FUNCTION/EVENT: SCORE Annual Program kickolTand Rccognition Lunchcon.
PUBLIC PURPOSE: Meet and intcract with business and community leaders.
DATE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: Dccember 6,20 I O.
FISCAL IMPACT: $.10,00 - Funds to be paid Ihml Commissioner's travel budget.
RECOMMENDATION: That thc Board ofCounly Commissioners, in accordance with
