EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize Budget Amendments to allocate $53,600 in
Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497 for permit application fees for the next phase
of development at the Immokalee Regional Airport.
OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) authorize Budget
Amendments to allocate $53,600 in Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497 for permit
application fees for the next phase of development at the Immokalee Regional Airport.
CONSIDERATIONS: On March 23, 2010, the BCC previously approved allocating
$223,700 in Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497 for engineering and environmental
services required for permitting the next phase of development at the Immokalee
Regional Airport, Agenda Item 16G4.
The area identified for the next phase of development has been divided into two
phases, Phase 2 and Phase 2A.
The estimated permit application fees for Phase 2 are $39,050. Phase 2 will also
require a $50,000 performance bond.

Funding for this permitting is available in the Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget Amendments are needed to allocate $53,600 in Immokalee
Infrastructure Fund 497 for permit application fees for the next phase of development at
the Immokalee Regional Airport, $41,500 to IMM Phase 2 Permitting, and $12,050 to
IMM Phase 2A Permitting.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact
associated with this Executive Summary.
ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATION: At the July 12, 2010 meeting, the Airport
Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend that the BCC authorize Budget
Amendments to allocate $53,600 in Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497 for permit
application fees for the next phase of development at the Immokalee Regional Airport.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item presents no legal issues. —JBW
