EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment to recognize and appropriate
insurance refund in the amount of $77,900. (Project 52525)
OBJECTIVE: Recognize and appropriate an insurance refund revenue in the amount of
$77,900 and to reimburse the General Building Improvement Project 52525 for expenditures
undertaken on an emergency basis.
CONSIDERATION: The Department of Facilities Management made emergency repairs due to
a water line break in the Naples Jail Kitchen. The repairs were paid for out of the General
Building Improvement Project 52525. The County's insurance company has now reimbursed
the County for the cost of the repairs.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are necessary to recognize these revenues and place
them in the proper expense appropriation within the County Wide Capital Projects Fund 301,
project 52525.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed and approved by the County
Attorney's Office and is legally sufficient for Board action.-ST
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the necessary
Budget Amendments to recognize and appropriate the insurance refund revenues in the amount
of $77,900.
