EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to accept a Quitclaim Deed from the South Florida Water Management District in
order to provide legal access to the public road network for the benefit of the owners of properties
located along Lakeshore Drive, south of the subdivision of Lake Trafford Shores in Immokalee.
(Fiscal Impact: None.)
OBJECTIVE: To accept a Quitclaim Deed from the South Florida Water Management District in order to
provide legal access to the public road network for the benefit of the owners of properties located along
Lakeshore Drive, south of the subdivision of Lake Trafford Shores in lmmokalee
CONSIDERATIONS: The owners of the properties whose physical access is from Lakeshore Drive (see
attached Location Map) share reciprocal access easements to Lakeshore Drive for the benefit of each other;
but their legal access to the public road network is blocked as a result of a portion of Lake shore Drive being
located upon a portion of Lot "Z" of Lake Trafford Shores subdivision owned by the South Florida Water
Management District. The District has agreed to assist in the remedy of this situation by deeding that part
of Lot "Z" to Collier County for a right-of-way. Acceptance of this conveyance shall not obligate Collier
County in any way to construct, to improve, or to maintain any roadway or other facilities located thereon.
FISCAL IMPACT: None. The cost of recording of the deed in the public records will be borne by others.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is sufficient for Board action. JBW
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, accept the
conveyance of the subject property via Quitclaim Deed, authorizing its recording in the public records of
Collier County, Florida, when the executed Quitclaim Deed is delivered to the County after its expected
approval and execution by the District at its next Board meeting on June1 0,2010.

QUITCLAIM DEED
THIS INDENTURE made this lOth day of June, 2010, between the SOUTH FLORIDA
WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT, a public corporation of the State of Florida, whose
mailing address is Post Office Box 24680, West Palm Beach, Florida 33416-4680, hereinafter
referred to as Grantor, in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) and other valuable
considerations, received from COLLIER <;OUNTY, a political subdivision ofthe State of Florida,
whose address is 3301 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, Florida 34112, hereinafter referred to as
Grantee, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, by these presents does remise, release and
quitclaim unto said Grantee, its successors and assigns forever, the following described land,
situate, lying and being in Collier County, State of Florida, to wit:
See Exhibit" A" attached hereto and made a part hereof
The sole intent and purpose of this instrument is to convey fee simple title to the herein described
property, which was acquired by Grantor by that certain Trustee's Deed recorded in Official
Records Book 2208, page 1518, public records of Collier County, Florida.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same together with all and singular the appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and all the estate, right, title, interest and claim
whatsoever of the said Grantor, either in law or in equity, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof
of the said Grantee, its successors and assigns forever; provided, however, that acceptance by
Grantee and dedication of the property legally described herein to the perpetual use of the public as
a public right-of-way shall in no way obligate the Grantee to construct, to improve, or to maintain
any roadway thereon.
