WH€REAS, WJlunteen are an integral part of Collier County: and,
WHEREAS, tfOlunteers have shown that they truly care and share tM generosity of

WHEREAS. volunteers reflect the power to "inspire by exomple~' and.
WHEREAS, volunteers both MCoura!/ft those they help and mDtiYa~ others to serve; and,
WHEREAS, Collier County offers many opportunities far citizens who wish h1 yolunteer in a
variety of diffelWlt service areas: and,
WHEREAS, Collier County is the proucI spt1nsor of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program~.

WHEREAS, Collier County utilizes vtJ/unteers in Domestic Animal Services, Public Libraries,
all Museums, Parks and Recreation, Veterans Services, and University Extension
St!rvices through the 4-H and Master Gardeners programs: and.
WHEREAS, Collier Ccunty has 3,232 volunturs who help the County further its mission and
contribute J 79,084 hours of service annually" representing more than
$3, 402" 596 in sayings for Collier County government/ and,
WHEREAS, we wish to honor and thank the dedicated citizens of Collier County" Florida"
who give so freely of their valuable time" energy" and abilities.
NOW THERt:FORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,

and.. in doing so, we call on all citizens to help renew and sustain the spirit and
