PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, the Golden Gote Task Force initiated its Community Cleanup
concentrating on the northeast quadrant of Golden Gote City on
March 6, 20JO with amazing results: and,
WHEREAS, over Jooo flyers were distributed to this area in attempts to assist
residents in cleaning up trash and debris in their neighborhood:
and,
WHEREAS, dumpsters were located at the 4400 block of Go/den Gote Parkway
(4) and 4Jst Street & J8'" Avenue SW (1) for trash drop-offs:
and,
WHEREAS, residents were also given the option to conveniently place debris at
the roadside for pickup: and,
WHEREAS, the event was so successful that three additional dumpsters were
ordered to keep up with the demands: and,
WHEREAS, after the completion of the day, 20.43 tons / 40,860 Ibs. of
debris was collected~' and,
WHEREAS. thiS was the largest cleanup in the history of Golden Gate City:

WHEREAS. a special thanks goes to Jeff Letourneau, Robert Capizz~ Renald
Paul, Ralph 80sa, Joe Mucha. Carme/o Gomez, Jeremy Florin,
Kaydee Tuff. John Santafemia. Jodi Walters, and Bill S1'lvester.
NOW THEREFORE. be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County. Florida. that Apr1'l13, 2010 be designated as
THE GOLDEN GATE TASK FORCE DAY
and wish continued success for this great benefit to the residents
of Golden Gate.
