WHEREAS, the third week in April, 2010 has been decla,..d ''National Pub/ic
Safety Communicaticns Week" hy the Senate and House of
Representatives of the United States of America: and,
WHCR€AS~ the President of the United States will issue a proclamation calling
upon the people of the United States to obseMltl that week with
appropriate ceremonies and activities: and,
WHEREAS, ~ergencie$ can occur at anytime that require law enforcement,
fire, or emergency medical services; and.
WHCREAS, Public Safety Dispatchers are the first and most critical contact
our citizens have with emergency services: and.
WH€REAS, Public Safety Dispatchers are the single vital link for Emergency
Services personnel: and.
WHEREAS, Public Safety Dispatchers of the Collier County Sheriffs Office
have directly contributed to the apprehensiOf1 of criminals.

WHeReAS, the Collier Caunty Sheriffs Office Public Safety Dispatchers
continually exhibit compassion, understanding, and professionalism
during the performance of their assignments.
NOW rH€REFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
