Agenda 03/23/2010 Item #16E 2 Agenda Item No. 16E2 March 23, 2010 Page 1 of 4 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to award Bid No. 10-5407, Employment Physicals & Drug Testing to Anchor Health Centers at an estimated annual cost of $11,600 per year. OBJECTIVE: To award a contract to perform Employment Physicals & Drug Testing services to evaluate potential job candidates and current employees to Anchor Health Centers. CONSIDERATION: Collier County Government uses a medical services provider for certain post-offer job candidates, current active employee physical evaluations, and required drug testing. On January 8, 2010 the Purchasing Department posted formal notice for Bid No. 10- 5407. Notices were sent to (179) vendors with (35) packages downloaded. One bid was received. A bid tabulation sheet is attached for review. The single bid from Anchor Health Centers was reviewed and found to be responsive and acceptable by the Purchasing and Risk Management staff. FISCAL IMPACT: Funds are budgeted annually within various department budgets and in the Workers' Compensation (518) budget for required physicals and drug tests. The estimated cost is $11,600 per year, subject to the actual demand for services. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office and is legally sufficient for Board action. - CMG RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners award Bid No. 10-5407 for Employment Physicals & Drug Testing services to Anchor Health Centers.
