WHEREAS. county gow:rnment is 0 complex and multifaceted process which
affects the lives of all residents of Collier County; and,
WHEREAS. an increased knowledge of how various aspects of county
gow:rnment work can enhance an individuals quality of life in
Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable for all county residents to be knowledgeable of the
county's gow:rnment and haw it works; and,
WHEREAS, the Collier County University Extension/4-H YolJ'th Dew:lopment.
and the Collier County Public Schools have co-sponsored the Know
Your County Government Teen Citizenship program for 30 years.
NOW THERUORI?, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida. that the week of March 22 through March
26, 2010 be designated as
THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF
KNOW YOUR COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK
