WHEREAS, as they ref'ect on the history of the African Methodist Episcopal
Church and the history of Bethe' AME Church of Naples, they
find simi'arities in the strugg'es parishioners faced in their
attempts ta estab'ish a p'ace of worship: and.
WHEREAS, the theme for their 50th anniversary is ''AffirmatiVtl Actian
through Christo: and.
WHEREAS, beginning 501llrday, February 27"', a Ce'ebratory Luncheon will
take p'ace at the BellaserG Hotel in Nap'es with guest speaker
Rev. John White, II of Mt. Hermon AME Church, Miami
Gardens, F'orida: and,
WHEREAS, Sunday, February 28'" the Ga'den AnniVtlrsary Worship Service
with speaker Rev. Pou'a Lake of Mt. O'iVtl AME Church, Ft.
Myers, Florida will take p'oce at Bethe' AME Church located at
2935 64'" Street SW in Nap'es: and
WHEREAS, Bethel AME Church af Nap'es is thankful far the continued
support of its porishioners and for this wonderfu' opportunity fa
ce'ebrate their 5c1" anniversary.
