PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, Myra Janca Danie's, Faunder, Chairman and CEO af the Phi'harmonic Center
for the Arts has been selected to receive the 2010 Holland T. Salley
Leadership in Fostering Education (LIFE) Award; and,
WHEREAS, her distinguished service is demonstrated by her championing of forma' arts
education in Collier County. The Life'ong Learning programs she has deve'oped
at the Philharmonic are a perfect representation of her commitment; and.
WHEREAS, Myra Janca Danie's has been instrumenta' in deve'oping major musica' programs
in Collier County such as the Phi'harmonic Yauth Chorale, Phi'harmonic Youth
Orchestra, Phi'harmonic Youth Symphonia, Fami'y Fun and Learning,
Kindermusikt' Adventures Camp and Master C'asses for adults; and.
WHEREAS, the Schoo' Outreach program she has initiated has allowed thwsands of
students to attend a wide range of programs, such as musical theater,
historical drama, and concerts by the Naples Phi'harmonic Orchestra; and,
WHEREAS. she is extraardinarily mu'ti-ta'ented and artistic, an author, an extreme'y
effective administrator; and.
WHEREAS, from The Edison State College Foundation, Myra Janeo Danie's was a'so
selected for the exemp'ary citizen 'eadershlp she has provided by promoting
and supporting educationa' arts and cu'ture experiences for young peop'e in
Col'ier County.
NOW THEREFOR€, in recognition of the outstanding contributions Myra Janco Danie's has
made to the c"",munity of Collier Cwnty, be it proclaimed by the Boord of
County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida. that March 23, 2010, be
designated as
MYRA JANCO DANIELS DAy
