EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Recommendation to award RFP 09-5305, "Architectural Services for Collier
County" to six firms: Schenkel & Shultz, Inc, CH2M Hill, Inc, Victor J. Latavish,
Architect, PA, BSSW Architects, Inc, Disney & Associates, PA, and Harvard Jolly,
Inc.
OBJECTIVE: To enter into agreement with the recommended firms to provide
architectural services on an as needed basis to various county departments.
CONSIDERATIONS: Collier County has an on-going need for architectural services to
support the departments' daily operations.
A Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued by the Purchasing Department on
September 22, 2009. Email notices were sent to 724 firms. A total of 143 firms
requested the full RFP solicitation package. Proposals were opened on October 16,
2009; 24 firms submitted proposals.

To obtain maximum efficiencies, the County reserved the right to select one or more
firm(s) and use the resultant awarded vendors in the following manner:
. For work $50,000 or less: the department may select one of the vendor(s) on
contract, request quotes from all vendor(s) on contract, or competitively solicit
under a separate contract.
. For work between $50,000 and $500,000: the department may request best
value offers (BVOs) from all vendor(s) on contract, or, conduct a separate
new solicitation.
Selection committee meetings were held on November 19th, and December 3rd with the
committee ultimately recommending the following firms for award:
. Schenkel & Shultz Inc.(Naples, Florida)
. CH2M Hilllnc.(Naples, Florida)
. Victor J. Latavish Architect, PA. (Napies, Florida)
. BSSW Architects Inc. (Naples, Florida)
. Disney & Associates, P.A., (Naples, Florida)
. Harvard Jolly Inc, (Fort Myers, Florida)

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners awards RFP 09-5305
"Architectural Services for Collier County" to six firms: Schenkel & Shultz, Inc, CH2M
Hill, Inc., Victor J. Latavish Architect, PS, BSSW Architects, Inc., Disney & Associates,
PA, and Harvard Jolly, Inc., and authorizes the Chairman to execute the standard
agreements after County Attorney approval on behalf of the Board.
