EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a Donation Agreement with, and accept a Warranty Deed
from, Lake Trafford Marina, Inc. for a parcel of land adjacent to Ann Olesky Park, at a cost
not to exceed $18.50.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain approval from the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida (Board) to enter into a Donation Agreement with Lake Trafford Marina, Inc., a Florida
corporation, for the donation of a .13 acre +/- parcel ( "Subject Parcel ") adjacent to the Ann Olesky
Park. Further, to obtain approval from the Board to accept the Warranty Deed from Lake Trafford
Marina, Inc. for the conveyance of the Subject Parcel. Ann Olesky Park and the Subject Parcel
are located at the end of Lake Trafford Road; a location map is attached. The Subject Parcel
would be for use as an additional portion of the Ann Olesky Park.
CONSIDERATIONS: In 1983, Lake Trafford Marina, Inc. conveyed property to the County, which
is currently the portion of Ann Olesky Park utilized for the boat ramp, fishing dock and benches.
Lake Trafford Marina, Inc.'s owner and President, Edward R. ( "Ski's Olesky, has offered to donate
an additional .13 acre +/- parcel to the County for additional park use. The Ann Olesky Park is
named in honor of Mr. Olesky's deceased wife.
FISCAL IMPACT: The costs of recording the Warranty Deed will not exceed $18.50. Funding is
available in and consistent with the FYI-2 budget in Fund 111, Project 649010.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: The acceptance of this property is consistent with the
Growth Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is legally sufficient and requires a majority vote. -JBW
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board:
1. Approve the attached Donation Agreement and authorize the Chairman to execute the
Agreement and any and all other County Attorney's Office approved documents related
to this transaction; and
2. Accept the attached Warranty Deed; and
3. Direct the County Manager or his designee to proceed to follow all appropriate closing
procedures, and to record the Warranty Deed in the Public Records of Collier County,
Florida.
