ECECUTFUE SUMMARY
Request to approve a Bme extension of Contract 074131, 'Gordon Myer Greenaway Park' with
Kimley -Horn & Associates, Inc.
OWECTIVE: Approval of a time extension of Contract 474131, "Gordon River Gremtway Park"
with Kimley -Hom & Associates, Inc.
CONSIDERATION: Kimley -Hom & Associates, Inc. was provided a notice to proceed for completion
of design and permitting of Gordon River Grecnway Park on 03/06/08. Currently, Kimley -Hom is
ompledng permitting az n ociated with the design with the United States Army Corp of Engineers
(IISACE), South Florida Witter Management District (SFWMDJ, and flit Collier Counts Growth
Management Division. Each penciling army has received submittals from Kimley Horn on behalf of
Inc Parks and Recreation Determine, however, final permits have not been issued. Currently, the
Gordon River Greenway is close to 0% design with 90% W be completed by November 2011. The
current agreement expires on October 31, 2011.
It is necessary to request a time extension to June 30, 2012 to allow the consultant adequate time to
complete me removing and notion of this park.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal Impact associated with this request
LEGAL CONSIDERATION:: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Once, requires �..\
majority vote, and is legally sufficient for Board anion. -CMG
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: Gordon River Greenwac Park is inventoried as regional park
land; however, this action has no impact to the growth management plan
RECOMMENDATION: Approve a time extension of Contract 074131, "Gordon River Outmost,
Park" with Kimley -Horn & Associates, Inc.
