PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, business and industry are vita/ to a community's economic health, and this
is particularly so in Collier County, and,
WHEREAS, existing businesses and industries within Collier County are the key to a
prosperous future, contributing to the current well-being of our citizens
and laying the foundations for tomorrow's prosperity; and,
WHEREAS, the recruitment of new companies to Collier County to improve employment
opportunities and diversify the local economy is considered a priority by
both the business community and Commissioners of Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, local businesses and industries help sustain our quality of place, exemplify
high standards of excellence and a positive, responsible approach to
economic diversification and community enhancement along with providing a//
citizens with an opportunity for upward mobility; and,
WHEREAS, public know /edge of the contribution made by business and industry is
essential to maintain a good community- business and industry relationship;
we should all take time to thank our community's business and industrial
leaders for creating jobs and growing our economy.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that September 12 -16, 2011 be designated as
2011 INDUSTRY APPRECATION WEEK
and encourage all residents to salute our businesses and industries and
their employees for their contributions to Collier County.
