EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue from the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the amount of $187,270.83 and return funds in the
amount of $274,550.99 to Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497 borrowed to reconstruct facilities at
Everglades Airpark damaged by Hurricane Wilma.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize revenue from FEMA and return funds borrowed from Immokalee
Development Fund 497 for the reconstruction of facilities at Everglades Airpark damaged by
Hurricane Wilma.
CONSIDERATIONS: On April 28, 2009, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC)
approved and authorized the Airport Authority to utilize $140,700.99 from the Immokalee
infrastructure Fund 497 for the reconstruction of the t- hangar building at Everglades Airpark,
Agenda Item 16G4.
On November 10, 2009, the BCC approved and authorized the Airport Authority to utilize
$83,850 from the Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497 to front -fund the reconstruction of the
sheriffs dwelling and tiki but at Everglades Airpark, Agenda Item 16G4.
On February 9, 2010, the BCC approved and authorized the Airport Authority to utilize an
additional $50,000 from Immokalee Infrastructure Fund to complete the reconstruction of the t-
hangar building at Everglades Airpark, Agenda Item 16G2.

After construction was completed, the Airport Authority received additional funding from the
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the amount of $187,270.83 for the t- hangar
building at Everglades Airpark.
Because the Airport Authority did not receive the anticipated funding from FEMA for the
sheriffs dwelling and tiki hut, these structures are not being reconstructed at this time.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funds are necessary with this Executive Summary. Funds are available
in Airport Authority Fund 496. Budget amendments are necessary to recognized FEMA revenue
in the amount of $187,270.83 and to transfer $274,550.99 from Airport Authority Fund 496 to
Immokalee Infrastructure Fund 497:
