OBJECTIVE: Approval of budget amendments. CONSIDERATIONS: Periodically, budget amendments are required and those amendments involve moving dollars from reserves to an active appropriation in an amount totaling $25,000 or less. Movement of dollars from reserves in the threshold outlined above requires Board approval — and this approval is obtained via the report format. One or multiple amendments may be brought forward and are listed on the attached report. FISCAL IMPACT: Noted on the report. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item raises no legal issues, and requires majority approval. -JAK RECOMMENDATION: Approve the budget amendment report. APPROVAL OF BUDGET AMENDMENTS BCC Agenda of July 26, 2011 County -Wide Capital Projects (301) Budget Amendment #11 -363 Operatine Expenses Helicopter Transmission $11,186.10 Reserves Reserve for Contingencies ($11,186.10) Total -0- Explanation: Funds are needed to repair the Emergency Management helicopter based on the findings by American Eurocopter, during the inspection of the main transmission (gearbox). A greater number of faults were detected than expected. The transmission flew more than 4000 hours and made the TBO (time before overhaul) inspection interval.
