EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve final acceptance of the pump station and connecting
force main utility facility for Avellino Isles, 595 Avellino Isles Circle, and to authorize
the County Manager, or his designee, to release any Utilities Performance Security to
the Project Engineer or the Developer's designated agent.
OBJECTIVE: The Board of County Commissioners, Ex- Officio the Governing Board of
the Collier County Water -Sewer District, to accept the conveyance of the pump station
utility facility.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) The Developer of Avellino Isles, 595 Avellino Isles Circle, has constructed the pump
station and connecting force main utility facility within dedicated easements to serve
this development. See attached location map.
2) Preliminary acceptance of this pump station and connecting force main utility facility
was approved by the Land Development Services staff on July 1, 2010. At that time,
the value of this pump station and connecting force main utility facility (asset) was
$110,711 (see attachment(s)). This Final Acceptance is in accordance with
Ordinance 2004 -31, as amended.
3) Staff has recorded all preliminary acceptance documents in the public records of
Collier County, which have been reviewed and approved by the County Attorney's
office as to form and legal sufficiency.
4) The facility has been operated and maintained by the Collier County Water -Sewer
District during, not less than, the required one (1) year warranty period.
5) A final inspection to discover defects in materials and workmanship has been
conducted by Land Development Services staff in coordination with Public Utilities
and this facility has been found to be satisfactory and acceptable.
6) The PUD Monitoring staff has reviewed this request in relation to possible issues
raised by the applicable Home Owners Association (HOA). Staff is unaware of any
issues that would serve to negate the recommendation to release the applicable
security.
FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Executive Summary will have no specific financial
impact. However, approval of this Executive Summary will result in the Collier County
Water -Sewer District receiving unconditional title to pump station and connecting force
main utility facility, which at the time of preliminary acceptance had a total
(undepreciated) value of $110,711.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: Approval of this Executive Summary will have no
growth management impact.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed and approved by the
County Attorney's Office and is legally sufficient. This item requires a majority vote. JBW
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, Ex- Officio the
Governing Board of the Collier County Water -Sewer District, accept final and
unconditional conveyance of the pump station and connecting force main utility facility for
Avellino Isles, 595 Avellino Isles Circle, and authorize the County Manager, or his
designee, to release any Utilities Performance Security (UPS) to the Project Engineer or
the Developer's designated agent.
