EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment re-appropriating $762,579.46 from Sheriff
Capital Projects Program #53011 to Program #50159 for the purchase of a new Access
Management System.
OBJECTIVE: To purchase a new Access Management System for the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has $762,579.46 budgeted in Sheriff’s
Record Management Project 53011. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office will not be utilizing these funds
for Records Management.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is required to close-out the Sheriff's Records Management
Project 53011 and move the residual budget to the Sheriff's Access Management System Project 50159
within the County Wide Capital Project Fund 301. Source of funding is a transfer from the General Fund.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: No recurring costs for subsequent years.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorize a budget amendment re-
appropriating $762,579.46 from Sheriff's Records Management Project 53011 to the Access Management
System 50159.
