EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment totaling $255,400 that transfers funds from
Project 60066 to Project 60016 to continue implementation of intersection improvement programs
for Vanderbilt Beach Road (CR 862) at Buckstone Drive for median channelization; Immokalee
Road (CR 846) at Bellaire Bay Drive for median channelization; and Immokalee Road (CR 846) at
Woodcrest Drive for traffic signalization.

OBJECTIVE: To establish budgets for specific intersection improvement projects by moving dollars
from Transportation Planning contribution funds, Project 60066, to Intersection Improvements Project
60016.
CONSIDERATIONS: The funds will be utilized for design and construction of median channelization
on Vanderbilt Beach Road at Buckstone Drive and on Immokalee Road at Bellaire Bay Drive and for a
traffic signal at Immokalee Road & Woodcrest Drive. Any remaining funds will be applied to the
County’s fair share of the construction of the aforementioned Immokalee Road improvement projects.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment in the amount of $ 255,400 is necessary to move funds to
support these intersection improvement projects. Source of funds is gas taxes Fund (313).
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the Count Attorney, raises no legal
issue, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This project is consistent with the Transportation Element of
the Growth Management Plan.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorize a budget amendment in
the amount of $255,400, transferring funds from Project 60066 to Project 60016 to fund intersection
improvement projects on Vanderbilt Beach Road (CR 862) at Buckstone Drive for median
channelization; Immokalee Road (CR 846) at Bellaire Bay Drive for median channelization; and
Immokalee Road (CR 846) at Woodcrest Drive for traffic signalization.
