EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment in the amount of $5,000 to recognize revenue
from the lmmokalee Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for repairs to a modular building
located at the Immokalee Regional Airport to be used as the lmmokalee Business Development
Center (IBDC).
OBJECTNE: To complete repairs to an existing modular building (trailer) located at the
Immokalee Regional Airport for the purpose of housing the Immokalee Business Development
Center (IBDC).
CONSIDERATIONS: The BCC approved an Inter-local Agreement between the Immokalee
Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the Collier County Airport Authority on March 9,
2010, Agenda Item 14A, for the creation and operation of a business development center at the
lmmokalee Regional Airport.
The lmmokalee CRA desires to use an existing trailer at the Immokalee Airport for an IBDC
Manager and Administrative Assistant, which requires repairs before it can be used for this purpose.
The total cost of the necessary repairs to the trailer is $11,812.00. The Immokalee CRA has agreed
to provide $5,000.00 and the Airport Authority will provide the balance of $6,812.00 from its
Operating Fund (495).
FISCAL IMP ACT: The fiscal impact of this budget amendment will increase the Airport
Authority Fund (495) lmmokalee Airport cost center revenue and expense by $5,000.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no
legal issues, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with
the Board's approval of the Authority's requests.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) acting as
the Airport Authority approves a budget amendment to recognize revenue of $5,000 from the
lmmokalee CRA to the CCAA for improvements to a modular building located at the Immokalee
Regional Airport to be used as the lmmokalee Business Development Center (IBDC).
