PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, The town of Ave Maria along with the university of the some name have become
the epicenter of the dreams and aspirations of like - minded people from around
the world bound together by o strong faith and the quest for knowledge, and,
WHEREAS, Nicho /as J. Healy exemplifies this spirit and as President of Ave Maria
University is o leader who believes in opening the magnificent riches of the
Catholic intellectual tradition and the profound beauty of Catholic culture to
the students; and,
WHEREAS, this year with the advent of the Ave Maria University inducting 650 students
from over 29 countries the direction and strengths of the University continue
to expand with the leadership of the President, Nicholas r Hea ly, and a
faculty that is dedicated to the challenges of Catholic higher education, and
WHEREAS, the intention of Ave Mario University is to become an integral part of the Ave
Maria town and also the Collier County community and through the outreach and
guidance of Nicholas Healey this has been o successful achievement to the
benefit of all parties, and,
WHEREAS, Collier County is fortunate to have a wealth of citizens who con, by their
experience, intellect, and humanity coupled with love of the area bring diversity
that enriches all the people who are fortunate to cal/ Collier County home,
Nicholas Jr. Healy is one of those peop /e.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, that May 24, 2011 be designated as
NICHOLAS Jr. HEAL Y DAY
