EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Request to reconsider the award of RFP 10-5450-Asphalt Roadway,
Concrete, Curb, Sidewalk and Driveway Installations.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners reconsider the
award of the referenced contract.
CONSIDERATIONS: On March 8, 2011, the Board of County Commissioners
awarded RFP 10-5450 for the performance of asphalt and concrete repairs and
installations associated with roadways, sidewalks, curbs and driveways. On
March 22, 2011, the Board voted to schedule the matter for a reconsideration
discussion at a subsequent Board meeting.
FISCAL IMPACT: None directly associated with this action. Should the Board
elect an altemative course of action to the original award, the fiscal impact would
need to be determined.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact on the Growth
Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: The procedure taken to reconsider the award of
RFP 10-5450 is consistent with the Code of Laws and Ordinances of Collier
County, Florida, Article II, section 2-41 and only requires a majority vote-SRT.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners reconsider the
award of RFP 10-5450.
