PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, clean, safe, and sustainable water resources and supplies are vital to
Collier County's economy, environment, and its people; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Collier County, ond the South Florida Water
Management District work together to increase awareness about the
importance of water conservation; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Florida and Collier County have designated April, typically a
dry month when water demands are most acute, as Water Conservation
Month to educate citizens about saving precious water resources; and,
WHEREAS, Collier County is committed ta setting a good example for its citizens
regarding water conservatian; and,
WHEREAS, every business, industry, school, and citizen can make a difference when it
comes ta conserving water.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that April, 2011, be designated as
WATER CONSERVATION MONTH
in Collier County, and urge all residents and businesses to help protect our
precious water resources by practicing water saving measures.
