EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend function/event and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99-410, the Board of County
Commissioners has determined that attendance at the functions of fraternal, business,
environmental, educational, charitable, social, professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations serves a valid public purpose, provided that said
functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters.
COMMISSIONER: Donna Fiala
FUNCTIONIEVENT: Marco Island Prayer Breakfast.
PUBLIC PURPOSE: Meet and interact with business and community leaders.
DATE OF FUNCTIONIEVENT: February 1,2011.
FISCAL IMPACT: $20.00 - Funds to be paid from Commissioner's travel budget.
RECOMMENDA TION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with
Resolution No. 99-410, approve payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Donna Fiala to
attend function serving a valid public purpose.

As a reminder, the 2011 Marco Island Community Prayer Breakfast is being held at the Marco Marriott Hotel
at 400 South Collier Blvd February 1st
Beginning at 7:30am sharp.
I also need to give you the scoop on parking at the Marriott. As you might know, when a function of this size
occurs, parking can be a challenge so
I strongly recommend you Self Park across the street from the Marriott which is only $5.00 while Valet
parking is $12.00. Keep in mind, if you Valet
Park and want to get out of there by noon.. @..you are stuck until your vehicle arrives. But, that is up to you.
What a pleasure it will be to share this special annual Marco Island community event with each of you. Thank
