EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to award Invitation to Bid (ITB) 11-5638 for Waterway Signage to Annat
Incorporation dba Municipal Supply and Sign (Estimated expenditure: $50,000).
OBJECTIVE: To award Bid (ITB) 11-5638 for Waterway Signage to Annat Inc dba Municipal
Supply and Sign.
CONSIDERA TIONS: Coastal Zone Management staff is interested in securing a supplier to
provide ready-made signs for the County's waterways. Wording and design for these signs will
be developed by Coastal Zone Management and approved by the manufacturer prior to
fabrication to ensure consistency and quality. Once fabricated and delivered by the vendor,
Coastal Zone Management staff will install the signs as-needed on waterways within Collier
County,
Notices were sent to 254 vendor email addresses; 57 suppliers requested ITB packages; five (5)
bids were submitted. Vendors were asked to provide individual pricing on seven (7) standard
sized signs. The individual prices were added together to determine the vendor who would
provide the lowest total overall cost to the County. Custom Products of Jackson, Mississippi
provided the overall lowest cost to the County. However the Annat Incorporation dba Municipal
Supply and Sign, a local Collier County finn, bid fell within the 10% threshold and was offered,
per the Board's Purchasing Policy, the "right to match" the low bid and accepted this offer.
Coastal Zone Management and Purchasing staff recommends the award to:
· Annat Incorporation dba Municipal Supply and Sign, Naples, FL
Coastal Zone Management will issue the County's standard purchase order or use the County's
procurement card to commence fabrication of the signs,
FISCAL IMP ACT: Sufficient budget exists within the Parks capital improvement fund for this
service, which is estimated to be $50,000 annually,
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMP ACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's Office,
requires majority vote, and is legally sufficient for Board action. - CMG
