PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, Naples Children and Education Foundation (NCEF) was established by
innovators who saw that many children in Collier County lacked
essential care and decided to move into action to correct this social
wrong: and,
WHEREAS, from day one, NCEF trustees have been driven to help disadvantaged
children: and,
WHEREAS, the NCEF trustees created an annual signature event that has
grabbed the attention of many of the world's rich and famous raising
ml1lions of dollars each year: and,
WHEREAS, in eleven years the Naples Winter Wine Festival has raised
approximately ninety- five million dollars, to support organizations that
focus on children 50 mental, physical health and overall well being: and,
WHEREAS, without doubt, their financial support has allowed thousands of Collier
County children access to programs and benefits that otherwise would
not be available: and,
WHEREAS, the Naples Children and Education Foundation received the 2011
Leadership in Fostering Education Award from Edison State College.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that February 22, 2011, be designated as
NAPLES CHILDREN AND EDUCA TION FOUNDATION DA Y
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 22nd Day of February, 2011.
