PROCLAMA rrON
WHEREAS, the CAPA/CRA Festival of Arts missi"" is to provide accessible,
affordable cultural enrichment for the community. raising
awareness of the need for a Cultural and Performing Arts Center
in the Bayshore Redevelopment area, with the CAPA objective of
creating a "home" for local visual and performing artists; and,
WH€REAS, the CRA has designated the Bayshore corridor a ''Cultural District"
and Bayshore CAPA has established partnerships resulting in 14
cultural events this year; and,
WH€REAS, together they have created a partnership enabling the
presentation of the CAPA/CRA Bayshore Festival of the Arts,
incorporating 22~ local musicians, the Band of the USAF Reserve,
and an art show of local Juried Artists free for the entire Collier
County Community, and providing business opportunity to local
vendors and non-profits; and.
WH€REAS, Collier County is pleased to host the CAPA/CRA Festival of the
Arts January 2!1" and 3d', 20J J, to be held at Sugden Regional
Park from JO:OO a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
NOW TH€REFORE. be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that January 2!1" and 3d", 20J J, be
designated as
CAPA/CRA BAY SHORE FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS DAY
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 29th Day of January, 2011.
