PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, being able to put a smile on a child's face is a blessing, especially
during the Christmas holidays: and,
WHEREAS, people get very busy during the holidays and sometimes forget
that the joy and excitement children experience looking forward
to this very special time of year: and,
WHEREAS, it is humbling to know that there are people who do care about
the meaning of Christmas, and who are willing to take time
sharing such blessings with children in the community: and,
WHEREAS, it takes someone with a big heart who shows his benevolence to
those around him to give of his time and efforts so selflessly:
and,
WHEREAS, we are truly blessed to have someone in our community who has a
big heart who shares of his time with others to bring peace and
good-will to those who are fortunate to spend time with him and
appreciate the warm glow of his humanity.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that January 24, 2011 be designated as
EDWARD "SKI" OLESKY DAY
to thank him for all he has done and given to the residents and
visitors of Collier County.
