EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners award Bid #11-5623 for
Purchase and Delivery of Pine Straw Mulch to Custom Pine Straw, Inc.
OBJECTIVE: To award Bid #11-5623 for Purchase and Delivery of Pine Straw Mulch
to Custom Pine Straw, Inc.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1. Bid #11-5623 was posted on November 10, 2010. Two hundred and thirty nine
(239) notices were sent and three (3) bids were received and opened on December
2,2010.
2. Staff has reviewed the bids and determined that the low bid was submitted by
Custom Pine Straw, Inc. Therefore, staff recommends award of Bid #11-5623 to
Custom Pine Straw, Inc. as the lowest qualified responsive bidder.
FISCAL IMPACT: The fiscal impact for Bid #11-5623 is $60,000.00 annually with the
funds available in the Pelican Bay Community Beautification Operating Fund 109.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact
resulting from this action.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners award Bid #11-
5623 to Custom Pine Straw, Inc.
